« Faccia a faccia, venni, vidi, vissi », litteraly translated by « face to face, I came, I saw, I lived », is a performative exhibition, introduced for the first time in march 2017 at the Vanessa Quang gallery in Paris.
About
It is built around the social and political representation of the woman body and its failure in relation with the concept of resilience. A set of work: performances, videos, sculptures, photographs propose, through different stories, territories and mediums, to speak about the trauma and its possible overtaking.Sarah Trouche brings together works that deal differently with our positioning about the history and the tragic events of it, traumas that follow on from it and how they need to be accepted through the idea of resilience. With this exhibition, the artist proposes a walk along our history, the one of our country and our time, evocating the role of the institutional, political and historical France face to the recent events. While everything remains to be healed and rebuilt, Sarah Trouche brings the audience from the political and social reality to a poetic act.
