Sarah Taylor Silverwood uses drawing and language as material to produce publications, animation and installation works. Daphne considers the relationship between women and language, taking the ancient Greek myth of Daphne and Apollo as a focus.
About
This early story, which traces Apollo's pursuit of Daphne and her transformation into a laurel tree, has been retold over centuries in many different art forms.
Through hand-drawn animation, objects and drawing, Taylor Silverwood interprets key motifs within the story and considers how we consume these narratives.
