An Exhibition by Samatha McEwens
About
Samantha McEwen is a British American artist based in the UK. As a young painter, she left London for New York to gain early acclaim in what was the heyday of N.Y.'s art scene in the eighties. Singled out for her talent, she was represented by Tony Shafrazi alongside Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, James Nares, James Brown.
McEwen's work focuses on colour and forms through representations and interpretations of nature. Her large-scale canvases range from a figurative narrative to abstract depictions, beautifully coloured in a combination of earthly muted and wild electrifying palettes.
Samantha will be exhibiting alongside The Portobello Film Festival this year at The Muse Gallery. The festival is now supporting film for its 26th year in North Kensington.
