Sally Freer's monoprints are created in the form of remembered impressions caught during walks through the Suffolk and Essex Countryside.

About

The prints capture intricate hedgerows, ancient forests and waterways recorded in different weather conditions throughout the seasons. Each monoprint is a unique image and each image run consists of about three prints. The plate is inked up with up to five colours and overprinted with a further five different colours. Sally aims for her prints to have the feeling of a painting with a visual shimmer created by layers of colours. On the first day of the exhibition, Saturday 14th April, Sally will be available in the gallery for members of the public to meet the maker between 11am and 2pm.
