About
Japan-born but London-based, SAKI cut her teeth in London’s street-art scene back in 2009, earning a reputation for her cheeky hand drawn stickers. Described as “buxom and unapologetic” these small pieces evolved into full scale portraits which celebrated the female form while often referencing traditional Japanese culture. Now combining painterly techniques with religious imagery and elements of cartoon and low-brow art, her often scantily-clad characters inhabit a world of monsters, devils and strange nocturnal creatures.
