About

Ryan Teynor is a violist and music teacher based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Hunter College in New York City. His artistic experience spans chamber music, recording sessions for film and television, orchestral concerts, opera, musicals, and ballet. In addition to freelance gigs, he is a founding member of the Sky Island String Quartet, with whom he performs regularly.

Mechka is a pianist who graduated from The State Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. After graduation, she worked in several Universities in Bulgaria, Singapore and Oman. She has expanded her expertise by completing a two-year Master class in Chamber Music and a French Music. Mechka has participated in numerous concerts, playing in chamber music ensembles and performing as a soloist in her own recitals and as a guest soloist with orchestras in many cities across Europe, North America, and Asia. Notable performances include those at Victoria Concert Hall with Braddell Heights SO and Esplanade Recital Studio in Singapore. Moreover, Mechka has composed music for theater shows, which have been presented worldwide and have received awards. She currently lives and teaches in Berlin.

Ryan and Mechka first performed together in Singapore in 2016. Since then, they have met to play together whenever their travels allow. Their future plans include performances in Denmark and France in 2025, and a short tour of the USA in 2026
