Showdown is an international online competition for artists, hosted by Saatchi Art. For each competition, an internationally celebrated artist or curator is invited to select the shortlist and winner. The artist Jaime Gili, widely acclaimed for his vividly coloured geometric works, was invited to join the panel for In Glorious Colour. Previous Showdown judges include the internationally renowned Barnaby Furnas, Ged Quinn, Wangechi Mutu, Peter Coffin, Dexter Dalwood, Matthias Weischer and Chantal Joffe. Saatchi Art, Saatchi Gallery, Winsor and Newton and Griffin Gallery have partnered for In Glorious Colour, which is the 17th Showdown since the competition was launched in 2010.
