Narrative Threads is a solo exhibition of work by Ruth Singer exploring how we respond to and interact with textiles in our daily lives. Singer’s work looks at our physical and emotional engagement with cloth and explores tactility, memory and personal stories.
About
Singer received Arts Council England funding to support her
research, development and making time as well as a period
of residency at The National Centre for Craft & Design.
The exhibition, which spans our 4th floor, includes existing
and new work as well as collaborative pieces created with
visitors during her residency days. Site specific work ‘Many
Hands’ & ‘Beauty of Stains’ which were created at NCCD
throughout this year will also be on display.
