Russ Kotev returns to Hepsibah Gallery with drawings and paintings based on life-drawing sessions. His figures are pensive, turned inwards, as if focused on a past experience. There is depth of feeling in the strong lines and bold texture of his drawings. The solitary figures in his paintings are juxtaposed with a vivid and evocative background.
