Runscape Berlin - An Artist-run Workshop with Map Office

The artist/architect team of Map Office will be visiting from Hong Kong to conduct a workshop, mapping Berlin through its cinematic signature. My Map - Runscape Berlin - will be the interactive platform setting up the basis of the project. The research consists in looking for very distinctive places from films shot in Berlin to create a placemark with the name of the film. Participants of the workshop and others not necessarilyly present in Berlin will be given the pass to access the map and add their placemark. The goal is to trace the journey of Runscape Berlin and re-write the history of cinema from the city following the runner. This is a first step leading to the next map. Today with the i-phone or i-pod we can walk/run the city and be recorded with G-map google pedometer. Workshop Day 1: would work with My Map and discuss cinema. An optional Day 2: would tour through the city in a section of the map and record the journey with the pedometer.
