The Royal Photographic Society's International Print Exhibition is coming to The Gallery@ The Civic in Barnsley, from 14 September 2013. The Society invited professional, student and amateur photographers worldwide to submit their work and for the first time in the competition's history, digital entries were submitted alongside print entries. This year nearly 5000 images were submitted. 117 framed prints from 101 photographers worldwide were selected to form the exhibition, comprising 86 digital images (from 76 photographers) and 31 prints (from 25 photographers), and including the 3 prize winners. The exhibition showcases work from a wide variety of established, emerging and amateur photographers and is the longest standing exhibition of its kind in the world. It features a wide range of genres and styles of photography, with cutting-edge prints being shown alongside traditional work - from the artistic to documentary, from portraiture to natural history.
