About
By specialising in works produced using water-based media (watercolour, gouache, acrylic etc.) the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours is able to exhibit a huge range of styles and cover an infinite variety of subject matter. With over 300 works on show, by established members of the Institute and by artists selected from the open submission, there is an exciting mix of traditional watercolour painting and contemporary, experimental works produced in many different water-soluble media. Awards are made to works using watermedia in innovative ways, and to young artists showing particular promise in the field. -
