Join The Asylum Art Gallery as they partner with Wolverhampton Art Gallery for the final event in the ROUNDABOUT project.
About
On 19 July, 6-9pm, Asylum Art Gallery will be part of the Friday Lates event co-curated with Wolverhampton Art Gallery and More Art In© Gallery.
You can help mark the end of the 12- month ROUNDABOUT project by welcoming back some of the most iconic performers from across the project, exploring a new exhibition dedicated to ROUNDABOUT, and unveiling the work of the final residency artist.
What you can expect:
- Lantern Workshop by Gatis Community Space 6-8pm
- Artist Panel Discussion, Georgian Room 8pm
- Lantern Parade to the Chapel Ash underpass 9pm
- Poetry and spoken word performances from Bones and Anisha Sahota plus Fallon, Jay, Cacey and Wozza from Suit Services.
- Dance performances by Sohan Kailey, Hit the Dhol, Flexus Dance and Outset Dance Academy.
After you have witnessed some of the fabulous performances and explored the work on display in the Spotlight Gallery, you'll end the evening with a lantern parade from Wolverhampton Art Gallery to the Chapel Ash island underpass where the work of final residency artist Hayley Wall will be unveiled along with performances and live music.
