Royal Over-Seas League's biennial international photography exhibition of 20 shortlisted entries of images taken in the past 18 months from any image making camera source based around this year's theme 'viewpoint'.
About
Since 2019, ROSL PHOTO has established itself as an international biennial photography prize with an increasing reputation. The following exhibition, which showcases the ROSL PHOTO 23 shortlist selected by our five industry judges, represents 20 images taken over the past 18 months from 3,150 submitted entries from 81 countries.
ROSL PHOTO 23 captures a moment in time - whether its passing is seen as precarious, abstract, cautious, fantastical or optimistic. The open call theme viewpoint may at first glance appear divisive in the sense that all things are “viewed” from one perspective or another, but in a modern world where even the authenticity of an image cannot necessarily be trusted due to artificial intelligence, we make our own assessment of what is shown to us and experience each visual story.
