About
Artists: Stephanie Conway and Livia Garcia. An exhibition of painting, sound and objects that explores contemporary concerns of unity/disunity.
As in Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, Room 101, in this instance, reflects on the current fears and threats that we may have to confront at a time when unity is disrupted. This exhibition seeks to address these contemporary concerns and this contextual backdrop acts as a springboard for ideas and speculations on the dual aspects of unity/dis-unity and their subsequent implications. The exhibition focuses on juxtaposing individual explorations and personal responses to the idea of unity, where multi-disciplinary works will instigate dialogue across and between the installation of works.
Room 101 is part of Harts Lane “United We Are” Project.
