‘Roger, Flat A27’, is an exhibition of photographs by Liam Leslie. This series of images captures the traces of life that are so often left behind when a place that has been inhabited is vacated. On display at Velorose Gallery as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2021.
About
Featuring five works, the series documents the traces of life left behind by Roger, the previous owner of Flat A27. On display at Velorose Gallery as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2021, the worlds largest annual architecture festival.
This series of images captures the traces of life that are so often left behind when a place that has been inhabited is vacated. the photographs allude to one person, and a life lived quite alone in a one-bedroom flat, yet they touch upon the lives of all individuals; they say as much about the artist, and the viewer, as they do about the person who lived for decades in these spaces
Velorose is where art meets architecture, in a purpose-built shop fit-out combining an architecture and design studio and art gallery. we undertake architectural and urbanism commissions, design and communications challenges. the gallery exhibits and sells work that addresses physical space, the built environment and traditions of representation
The London Festival of Architecture celebrates London as the global hub for architecture. The festival returns to the capital from 1-30 June 2021 with a lively and diverse programme of public events across London exploring the theme of ‘care’.
Open from the 1st - 30th June at Velorose Gallery, Charterhouse Square.
