In It's Wild Out There, over thirty canvases by Robert Eadie take the viewer on a journey through the artist's own experiences with nature. Eadie spends a great deal of his time on his own exploring the wilderness in the UK and France. He does not paint on location as his landscapes are imaginative rather than representational. Instead he returns to his remote and rural studio; his mind fired by the memories of each trip. The paintings that he creates are a combination of his visual memory of the natural environment that he has visited, and his personal response to it. Each work charged with accident, spontaneity and emotional impact.
