About

Pragovka Gallery invites you to the exhibition RITUALS by Giulia Cacciuttolo (6 October - 2 November 2023). The opening will take place on Thursday 5 October at 6 pm.

Giulia Cacciuttolo’s objects are time travelers; artifacts in reverse. Instead of becoming artifacts in a conventional way, through the passage of time and the layering of history, they are purposefully made to take place of a relic yet to exist: a potential embodiment of a collective memory. For her exhibition “Rituals” the artist presents a collection of works sensitively and deliberately placed in dialogue with architecture of the Pragovka exhibition space. Giulia Cacciuttolo explores how we process grief and loss, consideres tranditional votive objects as well as accounts of personal mourning rituals to propose gentle, sculpture-led ways to find closure.

Curator: Nika Kupyrova

On October 5, the gallery will open three more exhibitions:

Eva Fajčíková, Markéta Garai MOON HARVEST (6 October - 2 November 2023)
