To break boundaries and rigid concepts of formats, we aim to make the dynamic of the artist talk more playful through a game-like sharing method. This approach encourages engagement and mutual exploration among artists.
Here's how it works:
1. Portfolio Sharing: Before the event, each artist will share their portfolios or CVs with the other participating artists.
2. Selection Process: Each artist will then choose one exhibition, artwork, publication, or collaboration from another artist's portfolio that they find particularly interesting.
3. Presentation: During the artist talk, each artist will present the chosen artwork/project/exhibition of their peers to the audience. This means that each artist will present at least two of their works chosen by others, highlighting what caught their peers' interest.
4. Moderation: The portfolio sharing and the moderation of the talk will be coordinated by the assigned curator, ensuring a smooth and cohesive experience. This playful and dynamic format fosters a deeper connection between the artists and their work, as well as a more engaging and interactive experience for the audience. By having peers present each other's work, we create a space for unexpected insights and perspectives, making the artist talk more lively and enriching for everyone involved.
