About
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Riding For The Feeling creates portraits of three distinct environments. Using an innovative display technique the viewer is immersed within the photographs as they beat a path through them. Passing from the hot tarmac and lush greenery of a small central Thai town, through the bustling tracks and backwaters of Kerala, to the expansive desolate High Country of south eastern Australia. Three projects, all impressions of a singular place, working on different time scales; 24 hours, 3 weeks, 3 months. The printed photographs are supported by books which delve further into the character of each place, with unusual layout and supporting verse they give a unique viewpoint.
