Kill the Gibson Veil is an ongoing platform / collaborative installation that acts as an extended listening environment. Using a sound system at its centre, the work is framed by a shifting space to adapt for comfort and consumption simultaneously; bespoke seating, lighting, drinking, decoration and moving images are installed to enhance the audio experience.
Primarily playing with an extended narrative in sound, the work explores modes of temporality, presence, psychedelia, social engagement, trance and performance. Within this narrative sounds by Richard Sides are presented alongside music / sound by others and impromptu performance.
