Dissolve Specific Objects and The Performance Studio present:
About
As part of their ongoing collaboration, artists Richard Sides and Theo Burt will perform a unique back-to-back audio-visual set combining elements drawn from their respective practices. Forming one continuous live performance, this format allows for a more immersive and less structured experience, where relationships between new and existing material are mixed and reconstituted.
RICHARD SIDES is a multi-disciplinary artist who produces music on his own and with others. Recent musical collaborations have included projects with Lorenzo Senni as PLUTO and Theo Burt with whom he also co-organises the publishing platform BUS.
THEO BURT works with computer sound, video and light, drawing on the perceptual relationships between sound and image and the aesthetic application of technology. He makes extensive use of automatic systems, setting up tensions between the intelligibility of processes and the intuitive experiencing of their results. His output includes installations, live performances and fixed-media piece.

The Performance Studio is a production and rehearsal space, set up by independent curator, David Thorp to provide a creative 'hub'; a free space for invited artists to experiment with and cultivate live art related activities over an extended period of time.
In Summer 2015 The Performance Studio has taken up new residence at The Nines on the Copeland Estate in Peckham, in a dedicated space leading off the main café and bar. Throughout May, June and July a curated programme of events encompassing performance, screenings and talks with invited artists and guest speakers will take place on Wednesday evenings; with a new series of artist residencies due to launch in the autumn.
