About

Rhythms of Living (architecture+music+dance)

a walk in opera in Berlin-Lichtenberg with Laure Catugier, Annekatrin Kiesel, Nicole Michalla and Felipe Vaz

We’re excited to announce that Rhythms of Living is back to Lichtenberg after a first version last year, now with the inclusion of a choreography created for this site-specific experience. Rhythms of Living is a performative walk that introduces the audience to the specifics of modernist architecture in the Weitlingkiez. The walk-in opera format includes a guided tour accompanied by algorithmic music, contemporary dance, and a photographic libretto. In the project, Laure Catugier's photographs of architectural details are used as graphic scores for Felipe Vaz's compositions, and both inform the choreography of Annekatrin Kiesel and Nicole Michalla.
