'Returning' represents returning to Deborah's passion, Fine Art Photography.
It encapsulates her career as a professional photographer and her creative journey through travel, living by the sea and her love of nature.
About
These original pieces combine a handprinted fresco canvas with her gentle nature inspired images. She has had a career spanning from the United States to France and back to the UK. Deborah’s work is known across the globe as licensed wall art, stationery and home accessories.
This exhibition traces Deborah’s artistic evolution, from her college days ignited by a Hasselblad camera gifted by Great-uncle George to becoming a best-selling artist for Chronicle Books in San Francisco. Polaroid Transfers and collaborations with Polaroid in Boston, USA, marked the early stages of her Fine Art career. Inspired by her travels around the world particularly Japan, living in Vermont and a year-long artist-in-residence experience in The Loire Valley, France, Deborah’s love for nature became the cornerstone of her work. 15 years ago, she returned to Devon, UK, finding inspiration in the serene surroundings of The South Hams and her tranquil studio by the sea.
The exhibition will be open to the public starting on the 11th of Dec at Gloucester Room, Marylebone. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Deborah’s work, gaining insight into the soul of an artist whose unique combination of painting and photography can best be experienced in person.
