A retrospective selection of contemporary painting and drawing by Peter Clossick, from 1980 to 2019. Connecting with what is perhaps the most basic sense of all, a tactile sensation leading from the visual image that reaches out to the viewer.
About
This is a quest for essence with idiosyncratic skill, bringing to light a textural physicality. Paintings are carved from passionate and intense multi-layers amassed upon the canvas, quite literally works of substance giving accessibility through a sense of touch rendering a dynamic immediacy.
