Re/thread – A Trail of Giant Sequins

From 13 January to 4 February, Re/thread: A Trail of Giant Sequins by artist Jessica Grady will transform the windows of 10 venues in Leicester's city centre with artworks of children and young people from across Leicester. The installations aim to be an inspiration on how all of us can help the environment through our use of textiles, clothes and fabrics. This interactive trail will provide tips and tricks for re-using, upcycling and recycling of textile materials that you can try at home. Follow the trail with the Loyal Free App in your own time and collect fun ideas and activities about repurposing household textiles creatively and sustainably. You can find the fantastic sequins installations and trail information at LCB Depot, Curve Theatre, Phoenix Leicester, Leicester Coffee House, The Y Theatre, Leicester Central Library, Button Boutique, St Martin’s Coffee Shop, King Richard III Visitor Centre and Leicester Gallery at De Montfort University.
