This April, Fabrica partners with Sussex Contemporary to present Resonance, a group exhibition showcasing a dynamic selection of contemporary artists from across the UK.
About
The exhibition arises from a national open call inviting artists at all stages of their careers to respond to the theme of resonance. Selected by an independent panel of judges, the works in the exhibition explore how ideas, materials and experiences echo across time, place and community - what lingers, what returns, and what continues to shape us.
Painting, sculpture, photography, installation and mixed-media works come together in dialogue within Fabrica’s unique former-church space. Each work offers its own interpretation of the theme, inviting visitors to consider how artworks can reverberate beyond the moment of encounter.
Resonance celebrates the breadth and vitality of contemporary artistic practice while creating new opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell their work. All artworks in the exhibition are available for purchase.
The Fabrica café-bar and shop will be open during gallery hours, offering a place to pause, meet friends and continue the conversation sparked by the exhibition.
2026 marks Fabrica’s 30th year at the heart of Brighton. For three decades, Fabrica has been a place where art, community and heritage are woven together - commissioning and presenting ambitious contemporary work within its historic former church building in the city centre.
