SIGNS OF LIFE looks at the push and pull between the natural and man made and the unnatural beauty that comes out of that conflict.  “Since I was a kid in New York City, I’ve been searching for the beauty and calm within the chaos, concrete and filth of urban life.”  This series or large photographic prints contemplates the ways we construct the world we live in and what that world is doing to us.

MASLOW is showing a second body of work titled ON DISPLAY in which he points his camera at people viewing art in the white cubes of galleries and museums.  “As a visual person, I’m easily distracted by what’s in view (even Picasso can’t compete with the characters I see in galleries).”  The viewers are captured in statuesque poses of curiosity, contemplation, distraction and at times total disregard for the art on the walls.
