A Photography Exhibition by Christopher Sparkes
About
OPEN VIEW: Thurs 22nd Aug, 7pm (free, no tickets needed)
Reimagining Non-Places is a body of work still in growth, considering the thematic reflections in anthropology that examine the impact of urban architecture and surrounding spaces on the people that occupy them.
"All towns and cities contain non-places, and the notion these anthropological places force a transient identity-loss on those that pass through them is a central concern of this work. Herein, this exhibition reflects on our interacts with non-places and how we relate to our urban landscapes emotionally."
Christopher Sparkes is a photographer based in London, and started photographing when he was a teenager. Christopher also has a career as a clinical scientist in healthcare and finds the stark differences between this and his photography career as curiously harmonising.
