About
Refractions: New Conceptions of Film + Photography (15 January—18 March) is a free programme of events co-created by Rhubaba and the EAF Civic Programme. The programme aims to connect marginalised people with creativity through film, theatre, photography, ceramics, writing, and more with events in mulitple venues and locations in the city.
The programme includes workshops exploring creativity across mediums: create experimental theatre, document a nature walk through photography, wield collective art criticism, or shape clay in response to sensual film. The workshops are led by an exceptional collection of local creatives, with care at the core. The programme will close with an evening of shared queer joy in a short film screening in collaboration with SQIFF (Scottish Queer International Film Festival).
Attend one event, or one of everything — each event is ticketed separately, with limited capacity for workshops, so book well in advance to avoid disappointment. All events are free, with an optional donation which will feed back into the Rhubaba x EAF Civic programme.
