About
Reflections of War, 100 years after the start of the First World War, will include work by contemporary artists produced in response to the many conflicts around the world. The exhibition focuses on the humanitarian aspects of war rather than political, and the majority of the exhibiting artists have either been commissioned to document a war zone or have created work as a result of visiting one. The pieces included in this exhibition aim to record war, and honestly reflect the reality of a war zone, whilst examining its human cost. The show will include a diverse group of artists including Peter Howson (the Official British War Artist for Bosnia), and John Keane (The Imperial War Museum's official recorder of the Gulf War).Edmund Clark , Ken Currie , Nogah Engler , Nancy Fouts , Ori Gersht , Tim Hetherington, Nicola Hicks, Peter Howson , John Keane , Heidi Levine , Hanaa Malallah , Simon Norfolk , Tom Phillips , Michael Sandle, Tim Shaw, Paul Wager
