ReFit at The Rag Factory brings together 12 artists and their work in the aim of exploring the nature and parameters of contemporary exhibiting, curating and the processes of collaborative work.
About
Whilst each object or image presented in the exhibition represents the work of an individual ‘author’, these ‘authors’ will come together each day for the duration of the show to explore their roles as collaborators and artist-curators. Whilst the work on display will remain the same, the presentation and organisation of these works within the gallery space will differ as different curatorial groups re-distribute, re-configure and ReFit the space and the works therein. ReFit explores the nature and limits of the group exhibition, and tests the boundaries of individual authorship and collective creative production.
