Many artists have a strong sense of place but places like people are constantly changing. In markets, stations, industrial spaces, churches and parks we will discover how people function and adapt to London’s shifting infrastructure and industries, against the backdrop of landscape, architecture and weather. This elusive fragile nature of place is particularly evident in a dynamic environment like London where the passage of time is visible in the cityscape like geological strata. Every site will have been adapted, rubbed out, traced, occasionally derelict, redrawn or demolished over time, and now we see what remains...
