The Red Head Gallery collective has maintained a vibrant membership for 28 years - the longest standing artists’ collective in Toronto. More than 150 artists have participated in the gallery over this period. Many have become some of the most recognized visual artists in Canada. The aspirations and imagination of the founders remain inspiring to the current members.

With You Are Here as Nuit Blanche’s 2018 theme, it seems an appropriate time to highlight the seventeen artists who are Red Head Gallery now. Although every member’s practice is different, each artist reflects on “a city of endless personal, collective and cultural histories…”.  Each member asks thought-provoking questions about the meaning of difference through the context of their own experience. How do our diverse perspectives impact what it means to be together Here/Now?
