Who is it for?
This workshop is aimed at beginners and any photographer looking to improve their portrait photography skills.
Workshop Contents
This workshop will cover a brief history of portrait photography, before demonstrating key camera functions and equipment you can use to help you achieve different effects and styles. David will talk you through getting the most out of your subject, including key tips on working with strangers, children and groups, before giving you the opportunity to test out your new skills and capture your own portraits.
Please note you will need to bring your own camera to this workshop. If it is an interchangeable lens camera, we suggest you bring a portrait lens if you have one - the full frame equivalent of 85mm or above - or bring a standard (50mm), short telephoto, or midrange zoom lens. Tripod and flash are not necessary.
David Nightingale
David Nightingale is an internationally acclaimed photographer and instructor and is the Creative Director of Chromasia Training Limited. His clients include the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, the Dubai International Financial Centre, the Arts Council in England, the Van Volxem winery in Germany, Sony UK, and Sony Middle East and Africa. He is also an instructor at the Gulf Photo Plus training events in Dubai.
