A major new solo exhibition of interactive artworks by one of the world's most exciting electronic artists, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. Rafael Lozano-Hemmer creates artworks that see, hear and feel the actions of people around them, using technologies such as biometric scanners, surveillance cameras and microphones. This major new solo exhibition features seven recent pieces by the acclaimed artist, including the world premieres of two specially commissioned new installations. Manchester Art Gallery is the only UK venue for the show. All the pieces depend upon your participation to exist: in internet speak, all their content is crowdsourced". The installations react to and record your interaction with them, from your appearance and the movements you make, to your voice and even your pulse.
