About

This exhibition will be the first exhibition devoted to a single artist from ‘A David Bomberg Legacy — The Sarah Rose Collection'. It will begin to explore the range of Dorothy Mead's artistic practice and to consider her life and influences — the most profound of which was David Bomberg, with whom she studied from 1944 to 1951. ‘Recognising Dorothy Mead' spans three decades of work with paintings from The Sarah Rose Collection complimented by works, photographs and archival material from the Long Family Estate, the University College London Records Office, and The London Group Archive.
