South Shropshire based artist Penelope Timmis makes a welcome return to the gallery in May for a selling exhibition of her brightly coloured and energetic works. Penny uses a variety of materials such as pastels, watercolour, charcoal and acrylic paint to create her exciting mixed media pieces which depict scenes of landscapes, animals and still life.
Penny has been painting seriosly for around 10 years now and she continues to host solo shows and joint exhibitions around Wales and the West of England. In 2011 Penny was elected as an associate of the Birmingham Society of Arts and an Associate of the Society of Women Artists. She won best entry with the Royal Birmingham Society of Arts in 2009 and was shortlisted for the Daily Mail 'Not the Turner Prize' in 2004.
Penelope Timmis in the Granary Art Gallery runs throughout May in the Granary Art Gallery.
