About
Weston Park is proud to welcome the Shropshire based artist Roger Keeling RBSA to the Granary Art Gallery during February 2014.Inspired mainly by the observation of the figure, his work is mostly based around the human form, sometimes focusing on particular aspects of the model such as portraiture. The work on display will show his use of a variety of materials and, in some cases, a tendency to work in the style of a realist. Roger's talent in capturing different subject matters, such as landscapes, figures and still life is clear, and will be demonstrated in this exhibition.
Having graduated from Leicester College of Art in 1971 with a Fine Art & Printmaking degree, he continued to study at Liverpool University for a post-graduate teaching diploma. After teaching art in Manchester, he moved to Shropshire where he now teaches and continues to produce his own original pieces.
