In Anthony Padilla’s exhibition ‘REALIZATION’, the artist seeks to open the viewer's imagination and to extract them from daily life. The same way the surrealists sought for the unconscious mind to express itself, Padilla brings the viewer into a meditative state.
In Padilla’s work clouds hold a strong meaning, they are here to remind us that life is constantly changing and that we need to adapt to get the best outcomes. The same way clouds in the sky can be unpredictable, they also represent unexpected opportunities in our lives.
The flowers can be viewed either as blooming or shedding their petals. They are thriving as well as transitioning to a new phase of their life. Padilla invites us to pause and reflect on our profound desire to transcend our path, transform our journey.
Padilla makes us take a step back on small things that tend to cloud our mind and reflect on our deep desire to fulfill our possibilities.
