„Just for the Hell of it“ is an evening thought as series of readings with the artist Berkay Tuncay and guests. It is initiated by Display and the artist in the frame of his solo exhibition „Getting Away with It (All Messed Up)“ and will take place during Berlin Art Week.

The solo exhibition of the Istanbul based artist Berkay Tuncay at Display «  Getting Away With It (All Messed Up) » features his most recent research on the « relaxation videos » transformed through the process of poetry. Installed in the space, the visual poems relate to concrete poetry all the while opening the reflection on daily healing practices. Constituting a mass consumer product, countless videos of relaxation, meditation, or yoga lessons accumulated on the web have gained popularity among xenials, millenials or white-collar workers. They are the personal survival kit helping to control and minimise anxiety feelings. “A healthy mind in a healthy body” henceforth intertwined with our technological lives. During the Berlin Art Week, a night of reading performance will take place at Display.
