This workshop led by Sarah Pickstone will be a lot of fun, referencing literature and other imagery to create individual and collaborative drawings.
About
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
We will read a selection of texts together (although no knowledge of English is required), and gather imagery from various sources. Throughout the day we will make a large-scale collaborative drawing and also work on our own studies, combining individual and collective working approaches. The aim of the workshop is to connect with the less analytical side of observational drawing and to develop confidence with improvisation and happy mistakes. Materials are included.
Guest Series Format: Our Thursday evening series of workshops will focus on extending drawing through low-tech, low cost, DIY techniques. The creatives leading each workshop are young and emerging, yet each is working in a strong and accomplished way with their approach and materials.
