About

As part of the 2011 London Design Festival, the College is hosting three exhibitions that reflect the diversity and depth of innovative design thinking from the world's most renowned postgraduate art and design university. The Problem Comes First is an exhibition of design research projects from the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the RCA. Inspired by a famous Danish Design Council touring show from the 1980s, this exhibition will demonstrate how the act of problem-definition by designers is critical to addressing key social challenges. Sustain is a selection of shortlisted entries by 2011 graduating students for the RCA Sustain Award. The exhibition showcases sustainable objects, thinking and solutions, including products made from orange peel and fish skin. Give Me More is a new version of the EPFL+ECAL Lab's award-winning exhibition on augmented reality, which includes an interactive installation by RCA graduate Yuri Suzuki
