Raw Color presents Blend, a show of experiments, products and installations that relate to its research in colour.
About
Opening during London Design Festival, Dutch interdisciplinary studio Raw Color will present Blend, a range of products, experiments and installations that relate to its research in colour. The title also refers to the various media in which the studio works: photography, textile, interactive and print. Since The Aram Gallery is interested in how designers work – we look at how this interdisciplinary practice gets inspired from one activity to another, and the flow of ideas between self-initiated and commissioned work.
Raw Color’s projects include Chromatology (2015) – a trio of paper-shredders that come to life when a visitor walks by, leaving a colourful paper trail – and Index (2012), a collection of towels and blankets that reveals the tones that make up coloured woven textiles. The exhibition will show a range of work and introduce three new projects.
Raw Color is Christoph Brach and Daniera ter Haar who work on self initiated and commissioned projects in their Eindhoven based studio.
