About

RANKIN: CONTAINS NUDITY Other Criteria, 14 Hinde Street, London, W1U 3BG 10 May — 21 June 2012 Other Criteria presents Contains Nudity, an exhibition of Rankin's most celebrated nude works comprising 12 prints. The exhibition excitingly coincides with the launch of the second issue of Rankin's biannual fashion and lifestyle magazine, The Hunger, which will be available to buy at Other Criteria on Hinde Street from 10 May. Iconic photographer, Rankin, will exhibit a selection of photographic prints including a series of 12 female nude images shot throughout his career, there will also be 3 exclusive images from the second issue of The Hunger and, to tie in with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year, a portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. Coinciding with the latest issue of The Hunger, the exhibition will feature exclusive images from the fresh and innovative biannual magazine. In addition to being a platform for talent across all artistic fields, The Hunger was born from Rankin's desire to celebrate the innate drive that we all possess and that, with a bit of creativity, can be used as an impetus for cultural change. The second issue will feature in-depth interviews with cover stars Monica Bellucci and Robert Sheehan as well as conversations with Oscar de la Renta, William Boyd, Ron Arad, Mark Strong and many more, with most interviews also available to watch on hungertv.com. Unique features include a focus on British designers; Katie Eary, Louise Gray, Henry Holland, Craig Lawrence and James Long as well as contemporary British artists; Gilbert & George, Mat Collishaw, Sue Webster & Tim Noble and Polly Morgan. To mark the new exhibition, Other Criteria on Hinde Street will be launching their ‘photography room' — a space on the lower ground floor dedicated entirely to photography in which exhibitions will be held throughout the year. Rankin says of his collaboration with Other Criteria, ‘I am very excited to be showing my work at Other Criteria — and particularly honoured to be the inaugural photographer exhibiting in the new ‘Photography Room'. I have long been an admirer of what Other Criteria do and feel privileged to be part of the roster.‘ Rankin's edition prints will be available to buy at Other Criteria and The Hunger prints will be exclusively for sale at Other Criteria for the duration of the exhibition, 14 Hinde St, London W1 and online at www.othercriteria.com, with prices starting at £1,500. The Hunger will also be available to buy at £4.95. Hardbacks of the magazine will be exclusively available from Other Criteria for a month for £10.
