Ramble Ramble art exhibition by Mark Whalen opens on Saturday, April 13, 6 PM to 9 PM, at Over the Influence gallery located in downtown L.A.

Los Angeles artist Mark Whalen, originally from Australia, will be exhibiting a new series of museum-quality, brightly colored sculptures ranging in size from twelve inches to fourteen feet. Mark’s thirteen year fine art career consistently travels along pathways devoid of definitive planning while proficiently experimenting with industrial objects, surface finishing, and studio rumination.

Ramble Ramble will display an artist who recognizes humor as a vitalizing force. Mark Whalen’s conceptual sculpture collection features iconic human shapes, mesmerizing color fields, and polished chrome elements. This is the premier introduction of Mark Whalen’s contemporary vision featured throughout five gallery spaces and will include sculptural studies, totem sculptures, iconic monuments, and a series of wall reliefs combining contemporary painting with dimensional objects.

Over the Influence was founded in Hong Kong in 2015 and expanded to Los Angeles in 2018. The gallery represents an international roster of emerging and established artists working across different mediums and disciplines. OTI is dedicated to championing artists who challenge established traditions.
