About

Join us for a day of glassblowing demonstrations and talks and the opportunity to meet with other collectors including Patrick Hogan, the grandson of Whitefriars designer James Hogan, who is an acknowleged expert on his grandfather's designs. Master Glassblowers Eddie King (Wedgwood and Whitefriars) and Ray Annenberg (Whitefriars, Cambridge Glass and Midsummer Glass) will be demonstrating techniques used at the Whitefriars and Wedgwood Glass factories. John King (Whitefriars and Kingsware) will also be joining us and demonstrating his famous swans. So far as we know Eddie King is the last ex-Whitefriars glassblower who is still employed full time as a gaffer. There will also be an illustrated talk by Nigel Benson of 20th Century Glass www.20thcentury-glass.com Spaces are limited and going fast. The cost of attendance is £75 (inc VAT) per person which includes a light sandwich lunch. To reserve your place, please email nell@zestgallery.com with your name and a daytime telephone number to arrange payment. Or call the gallery on 020 7610 1900.
