Purely Original Print Opens Saturday 6th July - Saturday 27th July 2013 in both the upstairs Gallery and downstairs Studio at the 1066 Art Academy (inside Costa Coffee) Battle. Original printmaking is the process of making artworks by printing, normally onto paper. By definition, original printmaking is when the artwork is created by the hand of the artist from an original matrix i.e. a plate, block, stone or stencil which was created solely for this purpose. This exhibition will show artworks created using the full breadth and depth of original printmaking methods employed today from etching and engraving through to experimental mono prints and Collagraph. Exhibiting Artists will include; Vincent Matthews; Louisa Crispin; Will Taylor; Ali Stump; Amanda Averillo; Christine Hopkins.
