Celebrating 40 years of anarchy, chaos and Punk Rock. Original artwork by JAMIE REID, JAMES CAUTY and BILLY CHILDISH.
About
Celebrating 40 years of anarchy, chaos and Punk Rock.
Official opening 27th January 2017, 5.30pm – 7pm with Dole Age and members of Tracy Island paying homage to punk.
Merthyr artist and collector Gerrion Jones presents an exhibition of original artwork by JAMIE REID, JAMES CAUTY and BILLY CHILDISH.
The exhibition features some of the most iconic imagery associated with the first wave of Punk in 1977, with original Jamie Reid artwork and posters for the Sex Pistols, The Clash and The Damned, who were storming the music and fashion scene forty years ago, with this vibrant new sound and look.
The exhibition expands into the present day with more recent work by James Cauty and Billy Childish, displaying the same sharp wit and vitriolic political commentary that made punk rock so appealing forty years ago.
THE PANIC ROOM: Added exhibition ONE NIGHT & DAY ONLY:
Friday 3rd February 9am – 11pm (in association with the London Calling gig)
Saturday 4th February 2017 9am-5pm
