On Saturday 16 June 2018 the 5th Base Gallery opens its doors to PSYKEE, an exhibition of oil paintings and drawings by London-based artist Bianca Bellissima exploring the themes of the unconscious mind and the psyche.
About
“Psykee’s journey through the unconscious mind takes her to endless labyrinths inhabited by imaginary creatures floating in time and space.”
Consolidating 34 unique pieces created over a ten-year period, PSYKEE marks Bianca’s first solo gallery exhibition following collaborative stints at the Candid Arts gallery and Union Chapel respectively.
Bianca Bellissima was born and raised in Catania, Sicily, where she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. Moving to London soon after obtaining her degree, Bianca quickly became part of the West End street artists boom of the early 90s. She has taught at Westminster College and has produced illustrations for a number of publications.
The 5th Base Gallery is located within a stone’s throw of Brick Lane. Come along to the opening night and enjoy a complimentary glass of Prosecco or Crodino. We hope to see you there!
